Biography: At a surface glance, she’s the standard cute J-Pop idol: foofy outfits, winning smile, cute aesthetic. Beneath that exterior lurks a woman who laughs danger in the face and follows every violent whim. Coming from a working class family with deadbeat parents, she fended for herself for most of her teen years. She fell in with the Ponytails, a girl biker gang that was more family than she’d had before. There was something off about her though; even in the rough and tumble street brawling world of delinquency, she was especially feared. Her prolific use of small blades earned her the nickname “Razor Riko” - a reference to her punches with a razor inserted between each finger, forming a nasty ad-hoc pair of brass knuckles.

When the Ponytails disbanded she decided on a whim to go to an idol audition - it sounded fun. She got into a group - whose aesthetic she still emulates - and started to get somewhat popular with fans. A new girl showed up one day and had a surge of popularity that dwarfed her own. Riko didn’t just get jealous, she got even. Minutes before a big concert, she decked the new girl hard backstage, breaking her nose. Riko was understandably kicked out of the group and was adrift for a while. She ran odd jobs for shady types who were probably yakuza. She got fired from several crap part time jobs. One night working the graveyard shift at a 7-11, her life changed forever; Nana Tsukina found her and offered a shot at redemption. Riko was dubious, but it sounded better than what she’d been stuck with for the past few months.

She naturally took to wrestling training and found that she could channel her impulses into the technical, submission based offense Tsukina herself specializes in. Within a couple months she debuted and had a few matches at smaller shows in Japan. That’s when Tsukina revealed the full nature of the deal - Ryko was to be an idol in addition to a wrestler, part of a new group formed under the umbrella of Nana Productions. A unit of powerful, dangerous idols to bring smiles to the faces of fans everywhere? Seems insane. But also seems like the perfect blend of Ryko’s skills in singing and dancing with inflicting pain.

Gimmick: A true blend of J-Pop idol and delinquent, she carries herself like a gold standard underdog babyface until the bell rings. Once she’s in a fight she’s focused, violent and deadly. In short, a high speed killer.

Strengths:
1. Hard to Kill - Despite appearances, Ryko is really durable and her fighting intensity keeps her coming back after moves that should have finished her.
2. The Contents of my Head Are Not Normal - Ryko comes from a past full of violence and she’s become incredibly innovative in her fighting style. Give her a few household objects and she’ll turn them into implements of destruction.
3. High Speed - Ryko is extremely quick and uses bursts of speed to catch larger opponents off guard and wear them out.

Weaknesses:
1. Reckless - Ryko’s offense can be high risk, high reward and she doesn’t care so much about her own condition if she can keep pressing the attack. This can and does blow up in her face.
2. Comparative Inexperience - Ryko’s only been doing this for a little while, and many others know far more of the tricks of the trade than she does.
3. Losing the Plot - Ryko sometimes gets more caught up in just fighting and hurting people than in actually winning matches.

Ringside Attitude: As loud as her usual choices in fashion. Always cheering on her wrestler-idols in animated ways, such as shouting encouragement and slapping the mat emphatically. Will only get involved in a match if someone gets on her nerves, and then no force on earth can save the offender.

Biography: Nana is an eccentric character who on the surface looks like a loudly dressed housewife. She's quite bold and will speak her mind regardless of etiquette, as fiercely creative as she is protective of those working under her.

Nana has had a fairly successful career in combat sports in various styles. She's fairly well known in certain circles for her stints in professional wrestling, MMA and Muay Thai. An avid musician, she's used some of the earnings from her fighting career to open a music production studio based in Shinjuku. As her pilot project, she's working to bring smiles to the world with a unique unit of 'powerful idols' as she puts it. She's got her first chance to test the idea in Sin City; in exchange for a financial investment into RAZOR, She's secured guaranteed performance time for her idols. So far she only has one, but her eagle eye is always scouting for new recruits.
