History: Wrestle Italia was founded by Enzo Dante in 2007, several years after he had returned from North America. Dante had a great deal of success wrestling in American promotions during the 80s and 90s. He wanted to parlay that success into creating a true professional wrestling scene in his home country of Italy. The promotion started out strong but after fifteen years in business attendance started to decline. Currently Wrestle Italia only has a handful of homegrown Italian talent on it's roster and must pad shows with guests from other promotions in order to break even. Dante is stubborn, he refuses to let the company die and will do whatever it takes to save it.
