Imagine this: you, a RAZOR Wrestling faithful, wading through the garbage that is the rest of the GRBG content. You find yourself scrolling through the news and reality content, which seems to be the bulk of what the absolute trash pile has to offer, when you come across a title you haven't seen before.
Hey, I remember Clint Rider, back when had a disastrous run on the Beyond Late Night Show. You shrug and consider, what the hell, better than the silence that is my empty apartment. Click.
We open on the sparse interview set with Clint Ride smiling into camera, arms crossed, looking only minorly uncomfortable. He shifts before he begins to speak.
Clint Rider
Hello, and welcome back to Wait, Who Are You?, the interview show where I do zero research before I meet with my subject. Today, we have a little crossover as I get to interview one of the other stars here on GRBG. I hope it's OJ Simpson, I know who that is! But something tells me, it won't be.
With that, a stagehand comes onto stage, holding a plain white envelope. He hands it over to Clint, who nods and then opens it. He reads it, and from the clear blank expression it's clear that he didn't get the pull of interview OJ Simpson.
Clint Rider
Well it appears joining me to day is...someone named Roxie Dixon!
With that, the opening riffs of "Death By Rock and Roll" hit and Roxie comes out from the backstage, dressed in a pair of ripped jeans and a oversized Guns and Roses T-shirt. She waves to the audience, only to realize there isn't an audience, so she's waving at no one. She looks around to make sure before she takes a seat on the stage, Clint sitting across from her.
Clint Rider
So Roxie Dixon. Roxie. Dixon.
Roxie Dixon
That's right.
There is a long awkward silence before Clint finally comes clean.
Clint Rider
Yeah, I am drawing a blank. Why would I know you?
Roxie shifts uncomfortably. This is clearly not going well.
Roxie Dixon
Well for one I'm a wrestler...
Clint lights up, snapping and pointing.
Clint Rider
Oh, that's it! You're on the wrestling show! Switchblade?
Roxie Dixon
RAZOR.
Clint gives a dismissive shrug.
Clint Rider
I was in the ballpark. So, wrestling. What's that like?
Roxie Dixon
I mean...I love it. Absolutely love it. Short of the thrill of a rock concert, there's nothing like it. And I'm thrilled to be at RAZOR, where I know the competition is bound to be...
Clint, always the professional journalist, cuts Roxie off mid-sentence.
Clint Rider
So wait, are you a musician?
Roxie seems thrown by her answer being cut off.
Roxie Dixon
What? No, I'm a wrestler. I mean, I dabble with music a bit, but my time is dedicated to grappling.
Clint Rider
What do you play?
Roxie shrugs a bit, clearly increased nonplussed with how this interview is going.
Roxie Dixon
I mean, I have tried to play guitar...
Clint Rider
Love that. Favorite band?
Now a question that Roxie can respond to, as she gives it careful consideration.
Roxie Dixon
I mean I got a lot I love, but GNR has my heart.
Clint Rider
Who's that?
Deadly silence hangs in the air. Roxie gestures towards her shirt.
Roxie Dixon
Guns N' Roses?
Clint Rider
Oh, like you shirt.
Roxie Dixon
Yeah.
Clint Rider
Yeah, I don't know them.
Roxie's face twists in a look between incredulity and disgust.
Roxie Dixon
Wait really? "Paradise City?" "Welcome to the Jungle?"
Clint shakes his head, with a clear lack of any comprehension.
Roxie Dixon
"Sweet Child of Mine?"
Clint Rider
Oh, you're a mom too? Women can do it all.
Roxie Dixon
No, it's a song...by Guns N' Roses?
Clint Rider
Oh right...yeah I don't know them.
Roxie Dixon
Yeah, yeah you said that.
More dead air, before the "Wait, Who Are You?" theme kicks up.
Clint Rider
Well, that sound means we are out of time.
Roxie Dixon
It's been like five minutes.
Clint goes on as if he didn't hear anything, the outro music growing louder.
Clint Rider
Tune in next week when I'll once again ask, wait, who are you?
The lights dim, the credits roll, and the next episode cues up.
This seems like one of the better shows on GRBG.
