ARENA
The advertisement break ends & Kash Warren continues to celebrate his win in the ring. Joey Bryant, already in ring gear, takes off his T-Shirt, sets the Vanguard championship on the announce table and grabs a mic from ringside and walks up the ring steps to get in the ring. He walks behind Kash and gives him a congratulatory pat on the back. Kash doesn’t like that, he jumps back and looks at Joey with disgust. Joey chuckles and looks at him and raises the mic.
JOEY BRYANT: Give it up for Kash Warren ladies & gentleman!
The crowd gives off mostly boos, but there are a couple cheers in there from a couple of Kash Warren faithful. Or maybe they’re just Joey fans supporting the new team. Who knows.
JOEY BRYANT: You clearly don’t need my help at ringside at all with the lovely Angela by your side. To be honest, don’t think she needs to be out here whatsoever, you’re good enough on your own, but I digress! This is not only the debut of Vanguard Champion Joey Bryant on Shotgun, but surprise! It is also the debut of the team of Kash Warren & Joey Bryant. Come on out, boys!
Kash gives Joey a look of disgust and begins to mouth off to him as the team of Gruff Skegg & Xperteez, Sludge Society, begin to walk down the ramp with some generic country theme song playing. Joey puts the mic down and begins to talk to Kash and points to the ring apron, presumably telling him to take a breather and let him start the match for them. Kash continues to mouth off to Joey but he abides and turns and walks to the corner and stands on the ring apron. Angela is also yelling at Joey but also makes her way out of the ring.
The generic country banger fades out and this one is ready to go.
TAG TEAM MATCH
JOEY BRYANT & KASH WARREN vs. SLUDGE SOCIETY
CHAMP MARLBOROUGH: Double duty for the young Kash Warren here on Shotgun!
TOZI CHAVIRA: Even for a young man, two matches in a row is no easy feat. Perhaps a test of sorts from Joseph tonight.
CHAMP MARLBOROUGH: Kash don’t look too darn happy about having to do this, but he does have to win 5 whole tag team matches with Joey to get another shot at his Vanguard Championship. Might as well get win number one here t’night!
TOZI CHAVIRA: Indeed. Let us see how these two work alongside each other.
The bell rings and Joey stands in the ring alone with Xperteez, who is immediately in Joey’s face talking all types of trash. Joey smirks at this and ignores it, and sticks out his hand for a handshake. Xperteez looks appalled by the gesture and kicks Joey right in the gut, dropping Joey to one knee. Xperteez runs and bounces off the ropes and hits Joey square in the head with a powerful lariat, knocking Joey to his back on the mat. Kash is now rabid in the corner, screaming at Joey asking him what the hell he’s doing.
TOZI CHAVIRA: No respect to be had here, but it seems Kash is now quite invested.
CHAMP MARLBOROUGH: Joey can’t be tryin’ to shake hands with these folk! They’ll eat em’ alive if he ain’t careful!
Xperteez goes to get Joey up to his feet and succeeds, and bounces off the ropes and hits yet another lariat square to Joey’s upper body, but this one doesn’t take Joey off his feet. Xperteez once again runs and bounces off the rope and this time goes for a Big Boot, but Joey shuffles out of the way, bounces off the rope, and hits X with a Big Boot of his own! The crowd pops and Joey grabs his head and shakes off the previous hit. Joey looks at Kash who is still yelling at him and now sticks his hand out for a tag. Joey nods and grabs Xperteez and gets him to his feet and irish whips him into the corner. Tag made to Kash.
Kash gets in the ring while Joey holds Xperteez in place in the corner, signaling towards Kash to set up for a tag maneuver of sorts, but Kash just stands there ignoring him. In fact, Kash turns around and begins to walk away from Joey, which gives Xperteez the opportunity to hit Joey with a big forearm to the face which sends Joey to the outside of the ring, where he collapses on the floor. Kash hears this and turns around, but it’s too late, Xperteez charges in and hits Kash with a big shoulder tackle that knocks Kash to the mat. X hits a couple kicks on Kash and drags him to their corner where he makes the tag to Gruff Skegg.
TOZI CHAVIRA: Not on the same page, thus far. Not at all.
CHAMP MARLBOROUGH: Kash needs ta learn to work together with Joey if he ever wants another shot at that title! Won’t even do a tag move with him!
TOZI CHAVIRA: The lack of desire to share a move with his rival. Could prove to be fatal.
Xperteez holds Kash down on the mat, letting Gruff climb to the second rope where he jumps off and hits a big body splash directly on Kash. X makes his way to the outside and Gruff goes for the pin.
1….
Kickout! Too much on the line for Kash to stay down now, even after already competing. Gruff Skegg slowly picks Warren off the ground and lifts him up onto his shoulder and lands a big running powerslam right in the center of the ring. Gruff goes for the pin again.
1….
Kickout again! Joey is now slowly making his way back up to the ring apron as Gruff begins to pick up Warren once again. Gruff gets Kash back up on his shoulder and begins walking towards the corner to tag in X, but right before he gets there, Kash slides off his shoulder, takes a step back, and when Gruff turns around he gets met right away with a Cyclone Kill (Cyclone Roundhouse [Trouble In Paradise])!! Joey pops for this and begins jumping up and down, requesting the tag. Kash begins walking towards the downed opponent and points at him while looking directly at Joey, picks Gruff up by his hair, and begins walking towards Joey with his hand out. He teases the tag as the crowd gets loud, but then raises his hand and flips off Joey, then the crowd.
CHAMP MARLBOROUGH: Well now that’s just not nice. Joey’s showin’ his support for his partner and wants to finish the job but Kash says no sir!
TOZI CHAVIRA: It appears Kash would like to win this match alone. Maybe he fears Joey will try to shake the opponent's hand again.
Joey’s face gives off a look of disappointment, which immediately turns to shock as Xperteez has entered the ring and has begun running towards Kash. Wide-eyed Joey points behind Kash and Kash dodges out of the way, leading Xperteez to land in Joey’s corner. Joey grabs X and lifts him up in a suplex on the apron, and drops back to suplex Xperteez right on the outside mat!
Meanwhile, Gruff has made his way to his feet and grabs Kash from behind who was occupied with Joey’s business, but Kash drops to the floor to slip out of it and hits a cross chop to the back of Gruff’s knees. Kash immediately capitalizes and locks in the Money Maker (Kata-Ha-Jime [Tazzmission]) right in the middle of the ring! It only takes a couple seconds and Gruff TAPS OUT!! The bell rings as Joey begins to roll into the ring.
BIG MOUTH MINDY: Here are your winners, the team of Vanguard Champion Joey Bryant & Kash Warrrrrrrren!!
Joey walks over with a smile on his face to celebrate with Kash and has his hand out for a handshake, mouthing “good work” to Kash, but Kash walks past him, bumping him in the chest, and leaves the ring. Angela runs over to hug Kash & check on him and they begin walking backwards up the ramp, continuing to mouth off to Joey in the ring. Joey receives his Vanguard championship from Mindy, and holds it up to the cheers of the crowd, pointing at it and mouthing to Kash “One down, brother!”
