KICK OUT! Reid Ashford kicks out again! Jack McGrath is fired up. He rolls out of the ring and immediately goes under the apron. When he reappears, he has in his hand…a SICKLE! McGrath rolls back into the ring but his old man hops the barricade. Two members of BRAVE Security try to stop him but Mr. McGrath starches BOTH OF THEM! Mr. McGrath gets into the ring as Jack stands over Ashford with the sickle. Mr. McGrath pleads with Jack not to use it.
MR. MCGRATH: Jack, please. If you do this you are going to lose part of yourself…forever.
Jack takes a moment to consider his father’s words but Reid Ashford’s spits a glob of blood into Jack’s face! Jack snarls, drops a knee into the center of Ashford’s chest, and uses the sickle to cut off two of his fingers! The crowd gasps. Jack then hauls Ashford up and drops him with Things Fall Apart (Vertical Drop Brainbuster) onto the pile of broken glass! Ashford is done for and Jack covers him.
The arena is silent, except for Reid Ashford’s screams of pain. No music. Jack McGrath wobbles up to his feet and drops the sickle. His father tries to have words with him but Jack forcefully shoves the elder McGrath aside, causing him to spill through the ropes to the outside. Jack doesn’t even look, he just leaves the ring.
[The screen flickers, and a hand-written note flashes on the screen.]
Dear Jack –
I doubt you’ll ever read this, but I just want to let you know that I am thinking of you. All my life I have tried to protect you from the evil and corruption of this world, and it looks as if I have finally failed. I still cannot comprehend the path that you have chosen. You have the biggest heart of anyone I’ve ever met. You had dreams of becoming the best professional wrestler in the world. You wanted to wrestle in Japan. You wanted to make a difference in people’s lives.
What’s wrong, Jack? Please reach out to me at any time. You don’t want to live a life of regret – thinking of what could have been. You have great potential, son. I truly believe there are other ways to reach the top in this industry.

Reid Ashford appears with his heavily bandaged hand. He is wielding a metal pipe and he slides into the ring. Ashford starts begging for Jack McGrath to get up. Mark Storm turns around and sees Ashford! The champion stands in front of McGrath! Storm is protecting his opponent! McGrath is up to a knee. McGrath locks eyes with Ashford and then BANG! Jack McGrath low blows Storm!
DICK DELAURIER: NO! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING, MCGRATH?
FIONA METZ: Oh yeah. He’s fully corrupted now isn’t he?
Reid Ashford smashes the pipe over Mark Storm’s head and all Gregory Murphy can do is watch as Storm drops to the canvas, dead centre in the middle of the ring. Ashford slides out of the ring with the biggest smirk on his face. McGrath scrambles and stands Storm up. He hits Things Fall Apart (Vertical Drop Brainbuster). Ashford rouses Diego Leach from the outside just in time for Leach to see McGrath making the cover.
Diego Leach hands the championship to Jack McGrath and he almost can’t believe it. He falls to his knees, cradling the title. Reid Ashford enters the ring and helps McGrath to his feet with his good hand. Garbage starts flying into the ring. I’m talking…a lot of garbage. McGrath and Ashford don’t care. The two men stand with the arms raised as Episode #10 goes off the air.
[The clip then jumps to another hand-written note.]
Jack –
I’ve seen what transpired over the last weeks, and I cannot say it makes me proud, but you’ll always be my son, and I’ll always be there for you.
I don’t know how else to reach you, or what else to say right now. Call me.
